Variety, away fast, was sent into a long lead at once, but tired in the last furlong and had to be hard ridden to outstay Maie Fletcher. The latter closed a big gap from a slow beginning and was going fast at the end. Maria had no mishaps, ran well and finished close up, but tiring. Glenvllle was in prominent contention for the first half. Wild Irish showed speed, but tired fast in the last quarter. Edina ran poorly. Night Mist went into a long lead at once and won as her rider pleased. My Love had a rough trip in the early stages but, saving ground when turning into the stretch, came away with a rush when clear and finished rast. Sylvia G. was prominent for the first half, but was tiring fast at the end. Donaldo wheeled at the start and was practically left, showed a high order of speed, but tired in the stretch and would have been a sharp factor with an equal start. Sundart, allowed to drop far back in the early stages, closed a big gap. Banrlda, going wide most of the way, rau a good race. Merry Blue tired badly after going a good half. Peter Becker was well ridden, followed the leaders close up to the last two jumps, where lie moved into the lead and won with plenty in reserve. Rip ran a good race and was gaining at the end. Dulcian showed superior early speed, hut tired after going over eight fences. Dawson was right there most of the way. although going wide. Ralph Reese can do much better and was a distant trailer most of the way. Full of Fun quit after going one turn of the field. Killdoe was prominent when he made a bad landing at the eighth jump and unseated his rider. Little Wally lost his rider at the ninth jump and Rejectable at the first; Overweights Rejectable, li pounds. Jack Atkin outclassed the others, ran under hard restraint throughout and won in a canter, was never fully extended and could have won far off. The Bear, away slowly, moved up with a rush and forced the pace, but was unequal to beating the winner, although running a good race. Lady Esther began slowly and moved up with a rusji through the stretch, wore down Pedro in the closing strides and will Improve. Pedro, showing sudden improvement, would have been much closer up under good riding. Oraculum, away .fast, ran fairly well. The others were always badly outpaced. Scratched 72365Lens, 108. Bitter Sir showed superior early speed and held on well in the final drive. Thomas Calhoun, also away forwardly, ran In improved form and was a forward contender all the way. Stone Street ran fairly well and had no mishaps. Divorcee had a rough trip aild closed a big gap, ran on the outside and put up a good performance. Melange, away in a tangle, can do much better. Rio Grande suffered from slight interference and was forced to go wide in the last half. Tudor tired after going a half. Asteroid stumbled at the start and unseated his rider.
