Vronsky, from a striding start, ran in close and persistent pursuit of Jockey Mounce and, after taking the lead, tired, but got up again right at the end. Last Go broke slowly, . but was a prominent and game contender throughout. Alta Spa, from a tlatfooted inside start, was shuffled to the rear, then closed a big gap into a fast going third. Gage Taylor, after forward pursuit of the leaders, tired in the closing strides and was short. Pan-dc-Oro, green and a slow beginner, closed up steadily throughout. Deutschland had no mishaps and stood a remarkably game drive throughout, but tired finally. Woolma dropped hopelessly to the rear in the first half. Wild Blossom was badly outclassed.
