Ky., and were bought at the auction at Sheepshead Bay, September 0. last by Mr. Griffin, he paying $.;7." for the former and 00 for the latter, F. W. Doss and M. Hirsch doing the bidding. Rose Queen, being by Kingston— White Rose, is a full sister to Yorkist and a half-sister to Lottie Sheville, Divination. Incantation and Whitechapel, all winners and the latter the winner of the Double Event in this country aud a winner in England for the last three years. Trance is by Ben Brush — Fair Vision, the English mare which produced the speedy Horoscope. Miss Tenny and Runaway Girl. Baaaafeapej is the sire of Early Eve, Palmliearer. Soothsayer. Wizard, Predb-tion. etc. Miss Tenny was a very-speedy mare. She won eight races as a two-year-old, one of which was the Castleton Makes, live furlongs straight in 584. and as a three-year-old she won six races, twice running a mile in l:4o;, l eating Ogden in one of those races. Gold Ten is tho best of her produce. Runaway Girl is the dam of Meggs Hill, Gretna Green and Special License. Irfaneh. the first juvenile winner of the -.ear. by Mesmerist — La Cheviot, is a full sister to Cousin Kate, was bred at Kenmore Farm near Lexington. Ky.. and was sold by Julius Bauer to John Whitlow, who is regarded as one of the best platers of j race horses in this country. Young Whitlow has a host of friends among the turfmen east aud west who wish him immeasurable sneess as an owner. Valjean. the first youngster to win out of Unstable of S. C. Hildreth at Los Angeles, is by George Kcssb-r — Missy and amies from J. B. Bas ginsa Eluiendorf Stud. He Is a half-brother to Jerome. Mr. Hildreth got him for 50. Shone, which won the first time out at New Orleans for Burlew and ONeill, also etSJBM from Elmiiidorf Stud and brought uO lis a yearling. He is by Shap-fcll — Onega, therefore a half-brother to, Olonetz. a winner for three seasons. Onega aas a winner and a full sister to George Keene, a horse that wii for eight seasons and Nina Louise, herself a mighty good race mare and the dam of Bountiful, another good oik . .
