BLANCHE C. IN GOOD FORM. WINS ALL THE WAY IN THE FEATURE RACE AT OAKLAND. Old Mansard Takes a Sprint — Margaret Randolphs Sui prising Race — Deutschland Stores in Brilliant Style. Oakland. Cal.. January 15. — Barney Schreibers grand-looking horse. Deutschland. which James K. Keene pronounced one of the most perfect specimens of the tliiM-oughbred on the turf, scored a brilliant victory- over a quintette of fast performers in the closing race at Oakland today. The Sain--Di rtargilla stallion started a hot favorite and -never gave his backers a moments uneasiness in the actual running. From purely a racing stand| oint tlie juvenile race overshadowed the remainder of the card In interest and importance in that no less than five reputed cracks were engaged in Trance. Seattle. Coppit. On Parole and False Nun and there was much eu: iosity as to the outcome. iritfins filly reversed iier previous running with Seattle and disposed of Keenes fleet youngster. Johnny Lyons, entered in the sixth race and ireieially regarded as having a good chance, fell while at i ercise during the morning and was withdrawn. Jockey J. Mela tyre, recently from Frauce. was ruled off the turf by the Oakland stewards today. The specific allegations against Mcluiyre are that he pulled Oromoboi, Trance and Blondy ou the occasion of their recent inexplicable defeats.
