January is. — John Miller left here this afternoon for Washington with six two-year-olds, bred by Dr. J. D. Neet at the Kinder marten Stud near Versailles. He has sold a half | interest in them to W. H. Mosby. now on his way from i.os Angeles to Washington. who will I train them at Beuning and race them ou the eastern i track;. Mr. Mosby sold the horses he had at Los i Angeles ahd is expected at Washington Monday. The names and breeding of the two-year-olds i follow : Tremaigo, eh. c. by Handsome — Florence W. Aralia. ch. f. by Handsome— La Creole. Tremaigo is a full brother to Sir Vagrant and ! half-brother to .laneway. Brown Tony is a half brother to .Julia Junkiii. Spencer Wells is a full I broth-. to Western. Princess Pine is a full sister f to Kin- Cut. and Aralia is a half-sister to Trepan. Sigligiit and Don Creole. Dr. Neet will ship to Carroll Reid at Louisville , alM.ut February 1. to be trained at Churchill Downs, what he declares to be the best colt he ever bred. Astley Cooper is the name of this hay colt, and I he is by Don de 0ro — Class Slipper, being trie first foal of the dam. which is a full sister to Hastings. and a half-sister to Plaudit. Clenheim and Hand some. Dr. Xeet says this colt is extensively engaged j in eastern slakes, and if he does well in training at Louisville he will be shipped to New York to till his engagements. "We are expecting the first foal by Rock Sand at Nursery Stud tonight." said Superintendent Ed Kane this afternoon. "It is to be out of Fetish by Rayon dOr, and therefore a half-brother or sister to Flim Flam. It may, however, be two or three days before the foal arrives, for at this season of the year mares make very little bag, and it is hard to predict the exact time of foaling. I noticed iu one of the pai»ers three or four days ago that Fetish had foaled. The correspondent was somewhat previous." The first foal at Millstream Stud is expected from Flirtin • r. dam of Ipooner, a week from Monday. It will be by Semproniiis.
