Tony W. worked las way to the front gradually from a slow beginning and, coming fast in the last fur-Jonii. won drawing away. Tom Holland, lucky at the start, quickly took the lead and raced Miss Haps-hurg into defeat in the first quarter, but tired slightly near the end. Pinion had no mishaps, ran well and finished gamely. Intervene came from a long way back in the last quarter. Irrigator also closed a "big gap. Miss Hapsburg, hard ridden all the way. tired in the last furlong. Lillian Ray ran fairly well. I.ady Almy, lucky throughout, began slowly, but saved ground when turning into the stretch and, coining on with a rush, won in a canter. Nazimova, off ba#ly. moved up with a rush after going three furlongs ; ml outstayed the poorly ridden Meadowgreen. The latter got away well, hut was allowed to droit back and was taken wide into the stretch, then gained steadily in the last furlong. Merrigo closed a big gap. Agnes Wood, on the outside throughout, stumbled at the start and finished fast and gamely. Lady Pink had a rough trip and was going weil at the end. Maria ran poorly. Escuta showed the most early speed, but liore out on the stretch turn. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
