POSTSEASON PUNISHMENT FOR OFFENDERS Los Angeles Cal April 13 Colonel A W Ham ¬ ilton who was presiding judge at Santa Anita Park during the recent meeting Saturday sent notice to the officials of the New California Jockey Club of his action taken on that day against J L Rlley for ¬ mer trainer for U Z De Arman and jockey M Preston Judge Hamilton has ruled Riley off the turf and suspended Preston pending a further In ¬ vestigation The rulings are the result of charges made to the officials that Preston said to be act Ing for Rlley offered jockey G Archibald 100 If he would ride a losing race with Varietcs In the first race at Santa Anita Park April 2 and Archi ¬ bald is said to have refused the money Judge Hamilton says he is satisfied that Archibald rode to win when Ills mount was beaten a head by John Lyle Trainer Riley will make an effort to have the ruling against him rescinded and a farther hearing into the charges against Preston will be heard by Judges Hamilton Pomeroy and Lcighton at Oakland next week
