HEAVY TRACK RACING AT WINDSOR Ayr Water the Only Winning Favorite Hiacko Scores at Long Odds Detroit Mich June 30 Ayr Water winner of the first race saved favorite backers from a com ¬ plete Waterloo at Windsor this afternoon Out ¬ siders cropped up with a regularity that was posi ¬ tively painful to those who base their calculations on public form It was simply a case of a lot of horses meeting that had been racing in different sections of the country and as yet the public has not had time to get a good line so as to bring them together Todays program was made up of a series of selling races which brought together evenly matched fields with the result that some good con ¬ tests were witnessed All the winners found strong support and it is doubtful if the books laid up any ¬ thing on the afternoon afternoonWilliam William Shields put across one of his usual good things in the fourth race with a good looking two yearold minud Sir Cannon Shields and his friends backed Sir Cannon from 12 to 0 to 1 and tlie colt Minplv made an exhibition of his opponents winning cased up after leading from end to ond ondNew New arrivals still continue to pour in a division of Barney ScUrelbcrs stable in charge of John Towers getting in this morning They came direct from Schreibers Woodlands Farm FarmJ J Austin also arrived with M Dclorey s stable of jumpers Another new addition to the ranks of the riders was jockey Bergen who reached bore this morning from New York YorkFailbrother Failbrother carried off the honors among the riders today He had two winning mounts Christmas and IHacUo On the former he was forced to ride a de ¬ termined finish to beat the favorite Lady Irum out M head but on Hiacko he had only to sit still and allow his mount to go to the front and open a long lend which he retained to the end endHarry Harry White who came here to solicit owners to ship to Quebec returned to Montreal this morning lie reported that 175 horses would be shipped from here to Quebec some day next week Tlie proposed meeting at Quebec will open on July 11 and continue for fifteen days
