ELDER TO TAKE CASES TO GRAND JURY New York July 7 It Is known that acting Dist ¬ rict Attorney Elder of Kings county Is preparing to lay before the grand jury on Wednesday a com ¬ plaint that the race track management is receiving 12 a day from each bookmaker at the course for betting privileges Mr Elder is expected to submit to the jury evidence in support of his contention and it is expected that J G Cavanagh who was man ¬ ager of the old betting ring will be subpoenaed to testify It is the contention of the bookmakers that they pay 12 for advance information of jock ¬ eys scratches and added starters of each race but Mr Elder asserts this is only a subterfuge
