SIGNORINETTA BEATEN BY THREE HORSES At Newbury Eng June 25 Signorinetta the Derby and Oaks heroine was beaten by three horses for the 7500 Royal Stakes at one and onequarter miles Signorinetta 3 120 shared favoritism at 13 to S with W Hall Walkers White Eagle 3 123 by Gallinule Merry Gal which won by a head from W B Cloetes Quercus 3 100 with W Clarks Llnacre 4 127 third a long length before Signorinetta It was a peculiarly run race and not at all to the liking of the filly For almost the first mile the pace was dreadfully slow and then it be ¬ came just the opposite Chevalier Ginistrellls filly prefers to be going all the time and the tactics saw her beaten out of a ylace All the English critics seem to agree that W Bullock who rode her In the Derby and Oaks blundered with Signor ¬ inetta which should have made the pace instead of waiting for it
