UNHEALTHY MERRYGOROUND FOR WINDSOR Detroit Mich July 11 There is a halfmile track being built at Windsor directly opposite the present out Joe James u speculator la behind the project and he is going right along with it hoping to have it completed within a couple of weeks Work was started on the plant Thursday and if racing Is to be held over It it will not be before a month at least The project is to be known as the Essex Racing Association and Elmer Law ¬ rence has been already engaged as secretary It will be a bad thing for racing in Canada If gambling halfmile rings are started It may lead to adverse legislation The idea is to give a thirtyday meet ¬ ing with a possibility of it being extended
