THE 80000 ADAM TO RETURN TO FRANCE FRANCEHe He Fifteen Millstreara Matrons and Their Produce To Be Exported and Sold The announcement from Saratoga that the 80000 French horse Adam is to go hack to France with fifteen of the mares of the IKentucky Millstrcam Stud now in foal to him is a surprise The horse mares and their produce are to be sold Trainer Tom Welsh of the Newcastle Stable who partly owns the Millstream Stud will take the horses over on the steamship Minnetonka about September 1 and superintend nil the details of their shipment and ultimate sale abroad abroadAdam Adam is now at the head of the Millstream Stud in Kentucky which Is owned by Frank Bishop and Andrew Miller His services have been in demand since he came to this country at a fee of 1000 and he has some superb foals now In Kentucky KentuckyLast Last fall the Millstream Stud was said to be for sale and in fact preparations were made for dis ¬ posing of the profierty but this was abandoned abandonedAdam Adam is by Flying Fox Amie a daughter of Clairmart and his purchase and importation by Bishop in 1900 was an event in thoroughbred breed ¬ ing circles American turfmen wore greatly pleased with the acquisition of a stallion of such distinction and iu France his departure from the country was attended with considerable criticism from turf sharps who did not wish him to leave France FranceNow Now that circumstances make the sale of Adam necessary or advisable France is regarded naturally as the place in which to offer him for sale The mares in foal to Adam are fine individuals of the l est breed and naturally the pick of the Millsrcam Stud Farm or they would not have been sent to Adam AdamThere There are the best reasons therefore for the be ¬ lief that Adam and the fifteen broodmares in foal to him will sell well In France though it Is a matter of regret that the American turf must lose them Adam is n favorite In France and the only yearling by him sold in that country this season brought 10000 10000Trainer Trainer Welsh will turn over to Thomas Healey the horses he has in training before he leaves for France
