LEXINGTON READY FOR TALL RACING Plenty of Horses Will Be There Latonia and Louis ¬ ville Still in Question QuestionLexington Lexington Ky September u Secretary AV 11 Letclier of the Kentucky Association has not ar ¬ ranged the program for the fall meeting the dates for which are September 1 to 2 i but be is pro ¬ ceeding with other preliminary details and though not venturing a prophesy as to what the financial outcome will be without a fixed revenue such as was forthcoming daily from tho bookmakers at former meetings he has an abiding hope that the balance will be on the right side of the ledger When the order fur the printing of the tickets was placed the sanction of the State Itacing Commission had not been received to the dates applied for but the di ¬ rectors of the association had sounded the members of the governing body and ascertained that there would1 be no objection to seven days here hereWhat What is to be done or not to be done at Latonia and Louisville will have no bearing on the meeting at the local track save in the matter of the coming or not coining of some of the stables now racing on the Canadian circuit Secretary Letclier is in receipt of a letter from Louis A Cella requesting stall room for some of his horses now in Canada and this is an indication that while he has objections to operating the tracks he controls without bookmaking he has no objection to running his horses at another track where only the parimutuel machines are to be used in the making and recording of wagers wagersT T C McDowell has written that lie will come home from Montreal and that along with his horses h will bring those of Thomas W Moore W II FIzor lias also requested stable room hero Tho stable of W 1 BIssell in charge of trainer Wayne Lewis has arrived from Fort Erie John Hall is hero with O old proof and Stone Street the mislit winner of the Kentucky Derby In the same car with Hall came J W Ferguson with the good mure Dainty Dame and other horses and A J Corey with Old Honesty They traveled from Yonk crs Jim Evcruiau and the GallaUer brothers are also here with several useful horses among them the good twoyearold T M Green and Ordono J B Klley will have his horses sent up from Latonia Tuesday By twos threes and half dozens they will lie coining in from now until racing time Joe Haw ¬ kins John Uodegap Jack Baker Ed Oots Walter Grater Jerry Taylor Lee Smitha Dillard Hill and several others have been here since the close of the meeting at Latonia and their horses arc In good condition after the rest Cal Milan too has been taking things easy here and will have three or four dependable ones for fall racing It doesnt seem that there will be a scarcity of horses for this uieet
