YOUNG WILL BECOME AN EXPATRIATE Lexington Ky September T Colonel Milton Young today made the announcement that he has made up his mind to sell every horse and acre of land he owns in Kentucky to leave the United States and reestablish himself as a breeder of thor ¬ oughbred horses in the Argentine Republic After selling McGrathlana Farm to Beasley Bros of Lan ¬ caster several days ago and auctioning fiftyone yearlings at Sheepshead Bay last Monday Colonel Young has left 1290 acres of land and GOO thor ¬ oughbreds oughbredsI I will sell every horse and acre of land I own between now Kind November said Colonel Young and about January 1 I will set out for Buenos Ayres with the idea of buying a farm in the Ar ¬ gentine Republic and reestablishing myself there as a breeder of thoroughbreds I will not take to that country any horse that I now own nor do I expect to have any Americanbred horses Not that I do not believe the Americanbred runner the supe ¬ rior of the English thoroughbred in soundness conformation and other res ects but at pres ¬ ent the English liorse is the horse of the Argen ¬ tine Republic and holds the place of prefer ¬ ence in the fancy of the neonlc of that country It would be a i oor business policy to build a stud there from a foundation of American horses horsesI I will buy my foundation in England and later along I may take In some good American mares I expect to spend about three months investigating conditions Jn the Argentine Republic and will return to the United States by the way of England some time In April I have not determined on the dates for my sale hero but it will be some time in the coming month and I will sell out everything I possess possessMy My wife and children are agreed with me in my plans and they think with me that there is a lKtter future abroad than in this country where fanatics have the reins and are driving people to destruc ¬ tion tionII II B Colt is bore from New York in quest of thoroughbreds suitable for hunting purposes II purposesII M Ziegler and trainer Charles Hughes re ¬ turned from New York tonight after spending the day In Inspecting the Ziegler horses at Highland Farm About half of the thirtysix are to be sold Forty soldForty yearlings to be sold in New York next week were shipped from Elmendorf Farm this after ¬ noon
