WILD STORIES ABOUT NEW ORLEANS RACING The jist of various news despatches from New Orleans declares that the City Park and Fair Grounds race courses when they open the first week in De ¬ cember under the memory system will be oper ¬ ated through holding companies controlled exclusively by local capital was the statement made today by a party interested in both tracks It is stated that most of the local men who own stock in the jockey clubs were of the opinion that It was necessary for racing to be purely a local proposition next winter in order for it to even attain the success in previous years It is said that when the two jockey clubs are reorganized that the officers will all be local men and that the tracks would be local en ¬ terprises in every sense senseThe The local men in control idea is pure fiction and probably comes from President Heaslip Mr Corrigau who was in Chicago yesterday did not know anything about turning over what interest lie has in City Park lo any New Orleans people and did not believe that there was any truth in that part of the New Orleans story Mr Corrigan knows nothing definite as yet about New Orleans racing to come but said that there will be racing there without doubt
