Thomas stable, in charge of trainer George Reed, arrived today from Santa Anita. The string includes C. W. Burt. Aunt Aggie. Pops. County Clerk. Lady Irma. Chipmunk, Priceless : Jewel. Hampass. Billy Bowlegs and three yearlings, Thomas has twenty-five horses at Santa Anita, in charge of Henry MeDaniel. Albert Simon has telegraphed Secretary Treat that he will not carry out his plan for a California i campaign on account of his best horse having gone wrong at New York. Martin Nathanson has left New York for Chicago I and will arrive here next Tuesday to take up his duties as programmer and handicapper. S. C. Hildreths Dandelion stepped a quarter in 24 seconds today. It is thought he will be Hll-" dreths Opening Handicap candidate. Uncle and Meelick will not be ready for the opening day. W. E. Cotton has added Woolma and Blanche C. to his string. These horses had been turned out. A. J. Jackson was here today and announced that the seiisatioual filly. Fern L.. will run in local stakes if she retains her good Seattle form in training at Santa Anita. Jackson leaves for there bat-urday. .
