ADAM BRINGS BIG PRICE IN FRANCE. New York. October 20. Adam, the Flying Fox stallion, and a number of broodmares, the property of the Millstream Stud sent to France from this country recently, were sold at Paris today. Adam brought 8,000 and the mares, all in foal to Adam, averaged ,7-10 apiece. Andrew Miller, oue of the owners of the Millstream Stud, said today that the French stallion had proved a prolitable investment. His original cost was .0O0. not .OOO. as has been frequently stated. The stud service fees derived from Adam while standing In tills country amounted to 7,000 and two of bis foals were sold for ,000 recently. There are a number of mare in foal to him still at the farm, besides some weanlings. "While there might be a slump in thoroughbred values in this country, there was none in France." said Mr. Miller, "and good American stock will lind a ready sale there."
