Mrs. bewail, clear of interference and running gamely throughout, closed a big gap, wore the leaders down in the last furlong and won going away. Almena. away fast, showed superior early speed and raced Zarape into defeat, but tired slightly in the final drive. Zarape followed Almena closely early and took the lead on the turn, but gave way after going a fast half. The Missus, in close quarters most of the trip, ran a good race. Olive Ely, away from an outside position, was forced to go wide throughout and ran well. Denver Girl and Emily Almanac were prominent early. The winner was entered for S300; no bid. Sea bwell, much the best, was reserved for the first half and came away when his rider was ready. Jolly ran prominently throughout, was easily best or the others and finished gamelv. Romp began slowly and moved up steadily in the stretch, finished resolutely and wore Zeola down In the closing strides for third place. Zt-ola, away fast, showed the most speed for a half, but tired badlv In the last furlong. Hawkslight ran a good race and is showing improvement. The winner was entered for S00; no hid. Canopian ran well and held on gamely In the stretch drive. Tom McAfee closed a big gap and would have been dangerous with better racing luck. Stoner Hill ran a bad race aud eau do better. Canada had no mishaps and is in poor form at present. King Folly was practically left at the post. Bensonhurst set a fast early pace and quit. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Misa Sain was a close contender for a half and then passing Sally Preston was never fully extended to win. Uedgauntlet, hard ridden all the. way, moved into second place on the stretch turn anil outstayed Gliding Belle in a hard drive. The latter ran well and would have been no worse than second with competent riding. Sally Preston acted badly at the post, had much the worst of the start and tired badly after going three-quarters. Topsy Robinson came from a long way back in the last half and finished gamely. Please ran a bad race and failed to show much early speed, quit badly iu the last furlong aud can do much better. Bonart, away fast, wore Gresham down after going a half and held the others safe in the stretch drive, liexall was prominent all the way and finished gamely. Gresham showed the most speed for a half and tired badly in the stretch. Warner Grlswell had a rough trip and came with a rush in the last quarter. Van Dan was shuffled back in the first quarter and again forced back at the half, had to go wide in the strelch and, coming with a rush, would have been third in a few more strides. Bonebrake ran fairly well. There was much crowding all the way. The winner was entered for 300; no bid. Scratched 77979 Granada, 102.
