Force made a fast pace from the start to the stretch turn, then tired and just lasted long enough. Figent broke slowly, but closed up steadily into a fast going second and just failed to get up. Semproni ran in forward pursuit from the start and headed Force on the Inst turn, but tired in the closing drive after meeting serious interference midway of the stretch. The Drake, away poorly, quickly got into forward pursuit, but tired in the last quarter. Altainor had a tlatfooted start and was never in serious contention. Ioinare ran in nearest pursuit to the stretch and quit badly after making a very wide stretch turn. Victoria Green has shown fast private work. The winner was entered for ,000: 110 bid. Sir Wesley, from a flatfooted start, closed up steadily throughout into a fast going third. Romanoff, after forward pursuit from the start, failed to stay. Warden Yell ran in forward attendance on the leaders to the last sixteenth and tired badly. Billy Watkins was prominent for six furlongs and retired. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. . . Dollie Dollars ran prominently for half of the journey but tired and was palpably short. Purse Rose bad scant chance after the start.
