NOTES OF THE TURF. Besides tho horses that will come from Havana for the meeting at Tampa. Fla., which begins February 3, the stables of AV. L. Oliver. J. W. May and W. H. FIzer will be shipped there shortly after the first of the year. Danny Maber. says Vigilant in the London Sportsman, may possibly have to go on a trip to America, but in the meanwhile is spending his well-eatned liollday hunting with George Williamson in the Nottingham country. Since the opening of the El Paso meeting, four jockeys, Fogg. King. Otis and Kavanaugh, have been suspended, not because of any specific charge against their honesty, but for indifferent rides, which the judges will not tolerate. Jockey Yorke sustained severe injuries last Thursday while exercising one of Jack Bennets horses at Santa Anita Park. The horse ran away, throwing Ycrke and causing Injuries that probably will keep him out of the saddle for several days.
