I.eft Over, gal loped home an eas winner from Reside. Silver skin, which was making his first appearance iu mouths, was made a pronou d favorite iu the race, but was Interfered with and failed to slcm much s| |. Pinion, which finished third, was dis qualified for fouling in the stretch and third place was given to Tilekilns. O. W. J. Bissell furnish. d two of the winners iu Lou l.anier and Robin Grey. They were both ridden bv Brannon. Hanuan also rode two winners. Four favorites won. the laccese fal choices being I.ou Lanier. Lillian Leigh. Don Hamilton and Judge Treen. Three of them were at Oddfl on. The races were interesting, three of the finishes being very close with the vi rs under Hie hardest sort of driving all of the ];i-t fiuiong. The management has decided to give a race for gentlemen riders on Thursday next and a number of young society men will participate in this. At a meeting of the executive committee of the club held last night it was decided to notify the racing secretary to increase the value of the purses which will be run next week. This move is in keeping with the promises made to the horsemen thai the purs s would be increased provided thai the club broke even on the present ling. Since the opening dav I he balance has lieen on the right side of the ledger and ending Saturday last, tin-association was several thousand dollars ahead. Announcement was also made that several rich stakes would be run over the Moucreif Park course
