Syl-estris ran green for the first quarter and bore out on the turns, but came fast in the stretch, wore Dominica down and won drawing clear. Dominica, away fast, showed the most early speed and stayed well In the closing drive. Handzaretta began slowly and. closing a gap. stood the final drive gamely. Lady Melton made up ground. Boema was in a jam for the first half and closed a gup through the stretch. Beatrice K. ran poorly. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
