This important juvenile fixture, over the six furlongs straightaway, was captured by Radium Star, with his more highly considered stable com-liauioii. inileberrv. set-ond. Inches separated the pair at :the llnish. ;Kcky OBrien, conceding .re-siicctivflv eighteen and seventeen ihiiiihIs to the two leaders, -finished third five lengths away, after having loomed up n threatening factor at the beginning or the final sixteenth. Tho almost prohibitive odds quoted against the entry seemed acceptable to the speculatively inclined, but it was Cauillelierry. the Futurity runner-up. that tin; piddle was supporting. Creevy. the stable jockey, had lieen superseded by Orand on the preferred one of the pair and felt aggrieved over it.
