HOLMDEL TO GO UNDER HAMMER HAMMERNew New York January 17 Holnidol Stock Farm one tf the leading thoroughbred breeding establishments in New Jersey is to go under the hammer February 15 This farm that sent Jean Bereaud to the races and was the home of many other good ones was es ¬ tablished by Gideon Daly The property which covers more than 241 acres was purchased at a cost of T00000 While Jean Bereaud was the best liorse bred at the farm it was the home of many another good one and it was then that His High ¬ ness and The Butterflies both winners of the Futur ¬ ity were developed Some of the great horses that were fitted at Holnidcl were Hamapo Acquittal Hastings Hespcr and Kccnan John Daly retained an interest in the farm until his death and since then it has been tin property of David Gideon Some few years back it was leased front M Gideon by E 11 Thomas and Hermis Lady Amelia Stal ¬ wart as well as others of the Thomas string had it for a home The sale of the farm has given strength to the report that Mr Gideon is going out of breeding though he has four twoyearolds that will carry his colors this season He is still the owner of The Butterflies
