THINKS WELL OF BEN K SLEET SLEETLouisville Louisville Kyt January 17 I N Prewitt who has raced in the last season or so two useful horses in The Minks and T M Green has an idea he may will the Kentucky Derby this spring with his rangy colt Ben K Sleet Mr Prewitt regards this colt as good a youngster as he has ever raced Ben 1C Sleet is wintering well and lie has greatly spread out and grown He will strip for the Derby at sixteen hands and an inch inchBen Ben 1C Sleet raced as a twoyearold as partner ¬ ship property but last fall Prewitt bought out ai the other interests in him and now owns him out ¬ right He is a son of Knight of the Thistle which as a twoyearold ran second to the great St Fms qiiin in the Dewhurst Plate and in after years won such races as the March Stakes Royal Hunt Cup and Limekiln and Kempton Park Great Jubilee Stakes and ran second In such events as the Print of Wales Stakes and Lincolnshire Handicap Knight of the Thistle wheti offered at auction for the first time in America sold for 50000 and has since sired in McCarter a highclass horse
