OPPOSED TO FOOTBALL BOOKING The Turf Guardian Society is an association of English race course 1 ookmakers and commission sgents for the protection of its members from bad debts and for the elimination of undesirables in their line of business Race course booknlaklng is legal in Great Britain but football bookmaking Is not though It is extensive and in this connection the following resolution was passed at the recent annual meeting of the Turf Guardian Societv SocietvThat That this meeting deprecates any operations by meml ers and others in connection with betting on foot ball and desires Itto l e known that the general body of memlwrs dissociates itself from any business of this description and that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Football Association
