Of this description is the Coronation Stakes, for two-year-olds. It was tirst run in 1902. when it fell to William Ilendries Ayrshire Lad. Since then the event has been practically monopolized bv ilol»ert Oavies and J. E. Seagram, eacn winning it three times. The only break in their alternating successes was in 1907. when J. W.
