A pro gram of eight races was provided, with the Prince ot Wales Steeplechase seer the full conns as the feature, small fields ruled, the dees and henry track being responsible for numerous, withdrawals. Bartlett McLennan furnished the winn-r of the stake in Minto. one of the most promising green jumpers developed in years. There were six starters and Minto was the only one of the lot that finished without mishap. After rating off the leaders until the last turn af the field Minto moved up with a rush going to the seventeenth fence, and Px.k an easy lend. At the eighteenth jump bath Byssntina and Dr. Pillow lost their riders. ft Tie Straw was caught and remounted bj Nat Bay ami got ascend money, while Cild. whi.-h unseated M.tlain after taking the fourteenth Jump, was also caught and remounted ami finished third.
