His sire is a young St. Simon stallion that cost August Belmont 3,000 as a yearling. lie did not raee sm eessfully. but lie was always fast in work, and Mr. Belmont installed him at the Nursery Karm Im-oauso of his beaatlfal breeding. Whist is from Wood-nymph, daughter of The III-Ise,- or Magnetizer. end Woodbine, hv Censor or Kentucky. Wood-nymphs second dam was Flour dos Champs-, by Xewminster. an iinporti-d mare. The best of Wood-nymphs recent contributions to racing is the useful selling plater. Woodcraft, still in S. C. Hildrelhs stable.
