* + RUNNING OF THE WAKEFIELD STAKES 4, 4. When first run in 1907 the Wakefield was a handicap at a mile and an eighth, for three-year-olds and over, and as such was won by the western Illy, Lillie Turner. Then it was made a dash of live and a half fin longs, for two-year-olds, and in its first running under its changed conditions was won by James R. Keenes Footpad.
