DEVELOPMENT IN BED WELL CASE. New York, August 1. — Seymour Bentler, a well-known race track detective, has secured an affidavit from a colored stable boy named Kiel Williams at Sliocpshead Bay to the effect that he was responsible for the doping of the horse Nadeu at Latonia. tor which II. G. Bedwell was suspended In Kentucky. In the affidavit, which lias been forwarded to the Kentucky State Racing Commission, Williams says he administered a powder to the horse at the request of an unknown man who promised to put down a good bet for him: he swears that Mr. Bedwell had nothing lo Oa with the condition of the horse, but that ii was a stable boy who informed Mr. Bedwell as to what had Ihhmi done. Williams states that he will never, return to Kentucky. Hie Kentucky State Racing oiumission, which ruled Mr. Bedwell off, will be askeit to reopen the case on the strength of the affidavit.
