FUTURITY FOR SARATOGA REPORT CIRCULATED THAT CONEY ISLAND STAKES WILL BE TRANSFERRED. Danger Hark Wins the Frivolity Stakes with Great Ease — Rosebens Brother Takes Sprinting Handicap—Close Finish Marks Long Race. ■ Now York, August 2. — The report was in circulation at Yonkers this afternoon that the Futurity of the Coney Island Jockey Ctafe will be decided at Saratoga. The report could not be confirmed, but the belief is general that the Saratoga meeting will be prolonged until the end of August at least, and tiiat other Sheepshead Bay fixtures as well as the Futurity will be decided there. The Futurity was scheduled for August 20. the opening day of the Sheepshead Bay fall meeting. Danger Mark, from the Newcastle Stable, was an easy winner of the Frivolity Stakes at Yonkers today from Crash and Antalli. An early morning rain had made the track heavy and a program that promised good sport was scratched considerably. The handicap of the day was a three-quarters-mile dash and of eleven carded to go only four accepted at post time. The race went to Rosseanx, the three-year-old brother of Roveben which was recently taken out of a selling race by James Pitzsimmons. He was at home in the going and after racing Colloquy into early submission was never afterwards seriously threatened and came home an easy winner. Al Midler raced to the place and Sixty, after being repeatedly eat off on the rail, took the short end of the purse. The real surprise of the day was the defeat of J. E. Maddens Rishop, the shortest-priced starter of the afternoon. He was beaten with ridiculous ease by Star Actor, the only one of those carded that bad the temerity to try conclusions with the son of Handspring and Musette. Bishop ran as though not partial to the soft going and his race was far Ivelow What was expected in view of his recent performances. Alice George furnished another surprise when she vanquished some selling platers of her own sex over the mile and twenty yards route. In this race Arondaek was named to carrv an apprentice rider, but Archibald was substituted, raising her weight five ixmnds. After l eing hopelessly; outrun to the stretch she closed with a great rush and was second at the finish. The best finish of the day came in the mile and a half race at the end of the card, when, after a long duel, DaUcare beat The Peer a head. R. T. McKeever has sold Jeanne dArc, the marp he recently took from S. C. llildreth out of a selling race, to Matt Phillips, who will train a string at Juarez for J. E. Otto. The latter has made some yearling purchases. This week Mr. McKeever will ship Paul J. Raineys De Mund and Sanctus to France. De Mend will be converted into a jumper to race abroad. Catherine Simpson, a four-year-old fillv by Allo-way — Lady Douglas, died of spinal meningitis last night.
