THOROUGHBRED DAY AT BLUE GRASS FAIR. Lexington. Ky.. August 9.— Saturday. August 13. has been designated as "Thoroughbred Day" at the Bine Grand Fair and. beginning «t 10 oclock that morning, the rings of celebrated racers and their progeny .»ill be shown, entries having been made trom many of the famous breeding establishments in ti e blue grass region, including those of James R. Keene, August Belmont, Charles W. Moore, Thomas 1 . McDowell. G. D. Wilson. Elliott C. Uowdiu, E. L. Davis. St. James St mi. R. T. Wilson. Jr.. Johnson N. Camden, O. D. Randolph. F. D. Knight, J. L. Tstlton and others. The principal rinss are for stallions in service; broodmares, eolt foals of 1910. Uly foals of ion., broodmares with foal* at heel, colt foals of lAOh: illy Coals of loop; stallion in service and two brondmsres from the same stud and two of the get of one stallion, both to lie under two years Old. In addition to cash pretunins. each of these rings carry a season to some of tlie SMtny noted SireB herea boats as first arid second awards. This show is one of tin- most attractive features of the fair, am! Hie selection of so competent a lodge as George J. Long, owner of Bash ford Manor Stud and member of the State Racing Commission, gives it a wider range of interest.
