TOUCH ME was olf badly and outrun to the stretch, then closed an immense gap with a grand rush and was going ■way at the end. PRINCESS CALLAWAY also made up ground and finished fast and resolutely. HECTAGON made up much ground in the last quarter into a fast going third. STINGER had no mishaps and tired badly. EAGLE BIRD quit in the stretch after setting a fast pace for live furlongs. JACQUKLINA was reserved in close pursuit of the pacemakers for three-quarters and came away easily lll the stretch. SCARIIA came fast through the stretch and finished resolutely. WOOLCASTA went intu the lead at once and set the pace to the stretch, but tiled in the final drive. ACUMEN was a close con-lender to the stretch, but quit ami did not run to bis true form. MONTGOMERY closed an immense gap in the last quarter and took third place in the last stride. BONNIE KKLSO finished close up. SCPERSTTTION showed speed in pacetuaking, but failed to stay. RACQUET showed much speed in the going and set a fast pace, but tired when hard driven. RESTIGOUCHE was run into a pocket when approaching the stretch and was poorly ridden throughout. COHORT ran prominently to the stretch and tired badly. The winner, entered for SI. 009, was bid up to ,406 and bought in. MAY AMELIA raa forwardly throughout and finished gamely. WANDER raced into the lead on the hackstretch, but failed to stay when called on in the stretch.
