PENSACOLA MEETING COMES TO A CLOSE Pensacoia Fla December 28 Racing terminated here this afternoon with the running of seven races the extra race being added this morning In financial way the meeting just closed lias been failure and the racing in spots decidedly ragged As an indication of what is in store for a number of trainers and riders in consequence the judges announced this afternoon that jockey Lee Jackson will be denied the privilege of accepting mounts at Tampa The race for gentlemen riders carded as todays feature did not materialize due to the un ¬ willingness of some of the gentlemen to ride Some of them alleged that they had been approached by strangers with offers to pull their mounts but they could not furnish the officials with names As a precaution professionals were substituted and the horses carried thirty pounds less weight than carded All the officials departed today for Tampa and will arrive there tomorrow night Two special trains will pull out tomorrow for Tampa conveying horse men and horses
