INVESTIGATION ON AT TAMPA. Tampa. Fin.. January 2G. A peculiar belting angle coincident with the improved showing of Robert Bruce and the ride that Hoffman gave Syzygy caused the judges to legin an investigation! after the running of the third race today. Hoffman, besides giving Syzygy a listless ride, also contributed to Rose McGees defeat by subjecting her to much interference. With the exception of two races the card was about the worst offering of the meeting. Improved conditons are expected from now on. due to the officials declaring off of the cigarmakcrs strike. Nearly all the striking men wont back to work this morning. Jockey Hoffman was suspended for three days aud Downey for two days by the starter.
