The latter ran well, but bored out when entering the homestretch, then shook off RATOX at the end. EATON fought It out gamely with LESROS for third place all through the last furlong. MASON began slowly, but squeezed jl.rongh on the Inside and took the lead after going u furlong and opened a big lead while rounding the far t in n. but tired in the last quarter. DISCONTENT was taken back in the first quarter and saved, then moved up rapidly while rounding the far turn and outgamed MINTA in the stretch drive. The latter was much used in making the pace and racing GOLDWICK into defeat and tired under punishment. EASTERN STAR closed a big gap into a close up fourth. GOLDWICK and WHIN tired after running well for tliree-quarters. LIMPET can do better. DETECT had no chance at the start. Scratched 940542Aldivia, 101.
