STATISTICS OF THE OAKLAND MEETING T The winter meeting of the New California Jockey Club, which was brought to "a premature close by adrerse legislation, covered the period between November 12, 1910. and February 1.1, 1111. embracing eighty-two racing days, during which -198 races were decided and 5-1, 470 was distributed in stakes alnl purses. Early Wright figured as the leading money-winning owner, with ,755 to. Ills credit. J. M. Crane and C. P. Lamar ran a close race for second position, the formers horses liavljig Avon ,005 and Mr. Lamars ,045. Then follow in order Eugene Moyne. M. C. Iritchard. O. W. Berry, 13. L. Jones. The record of :5S for five-eighths of a mile, made by Terns Trick December 29, represented a new American record for the distance, as did Rubbling Waters mile and seventy rards in 1:42J on December 27.
