W. G. YANKE DECLINES CHALLENGE. Lexington, Ky., April 25. When Capt. J. T. Williams was apprised today that W. G. Yankc had declined his challenge for a match race here lietweeu Governor Gray and Round the .World, he said: "I am disappointed. I had hopes that he woidd accept the proposal for it would have made a great sporting event for the old track hero. I note what he says about a match after the Kentucky Derbv. I hardly think there will be any occasion for it. in my opinion Governor Gray will beat Round the World so decisively, good day and track, that there will be no question of supremacy to be settled afterward."
