NOTES OF THE TURF. The Ogdcn meeting will be run on the open ring plan and will bo extended for an additional week beyond the fifteen days for which it is scheduled if patronage warrants such action. John Danby, of Brough, Yorkshire, is believed to be the oldest living rider iu the Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase. Mr. Danby, now . ninety years of age. but a hale and hearty farmer, rode Pluralist in the National of 1S47, sixty-four years ago. In the Prix dc Capoyron, for three-year-olds,, value ,000, distance one mile and seven-eighths, run at Maisons-I.attitte yesterday. W. K. Vanderbilts Golden was second. The same owner Xegofol finished second in the Prix de Xonant la Vin, of ,000, distance seven-eighths.
