The program book of the Ontario Joekej Clubs May meeting provides for seven races daily, and it is probable that the first will be called at 2 oclock. A new rule in this years ImkiIc is the following, which lias been .effective elsewhere in holding a program together and providing interesting contests instead of walkovers: "In purse races and overnight handicaps an owner can withdraw his horse by paying five per cent, of the first money, declaration and payment to lie made to the clerk of the scales by ! a. in. the day oT the race. In such races with more than eight S entries, owners shall have the right to declare out to that number free of charge, such right to be determined by lot. Declaration fees will lie divided, sixty per cent, to the second horse and forty per cent, to the third."
