GREAT MEETING IN PROSPECT AT WINDSOR. Detroit. Mich.. May 0. The entry list of the Windsor Fair Grounds and Driving Park Association slakes, which havo just closed, shows the pick of American thoroughbreds named for the events during the meeting at Windsor the week of July 15-22. As no other meeting east of the Rockies is scheduled on any important track that week, the horses across the river wilt have full sway with the devotees of the sport. It may lie expected that the" best horses of the east and Canada will clash with the best from the west and south. Nominations to the Windsor fixtures have been made by such prominent eastern owners as August Belmont. S. C. Hildreth. the Beverwyck Stable, Thomas Clyde. R. F. Carman. Mrs. L. A. Livingston and many others. Mr. Belmont has made thirty entries, while Mr. Hildreth names eighty in the various eveuts to which they may be eligible. Among the latter may be named Fitz Herbert. Joe Madden. Novelty. Firestone. Hampton Court. Zeus. Eddie Dugan and King James. In fact, the subscriptions of Mr. Hildreth embrace his entire string of cracks. In addition to increasing the value of all the Windsor stakes, with one exception, the overnight purses will be richer than they have ever been.
