EXPECT GREAT RACE AT LAT0NIA. Cincinnati. O.. May 17. — This year t mntuel tickets will be sold at Latonia on Derby day. Last year was the minimum and there was some dissatisfaction. The reason that the smaller denomination was not sold was that there was a shortage of machines, there being but fifteen available. That condition will not prevail this season. The improvements at the track are being rushed along and. as the betting shed is about finished. work will at once begin on the new offices for the pari-mutuels. The committee having in charge the reviving of the Latonia Jockey Club is actively engaged in mis-sionarv work and expects to have a list of members in a few days that will insure a pretentious organization. There is great general interest in the coming Derby, the indications being that the race will be the beat Derby contest erer ieea here. The probable starters include .Meridian. Goreraor Gray, Colston. Mud Sill, Jack Deninan. Bound the World. Starry Night, Star Charter, Ileatherbrooin and Al-drian.
