St. Dass. which made a runaway affair of tin-race, winning easily by half a dozen lengths in record time for the race. St. liass was ridden by Eddie Dugan. made all of his own pace and ran the mile and a quarter in 2:0K». a splendid performance for an Ontario-bred throo-ycar-nhl. Dowdermaii. one of the Valley Farm entries, was the runner -up and with a little racing luck the result might have been different. Jockey T. Keener came on from Louisville to ride the colt. He received the worst of the break ami in the first five-eighths met with repeated interference.
