NOTES OF THE TURF. Orbed Lad, after having been out of training for a long period, is going along promisingly at the Oklahoma City track. The death of Mr. Hose, a four-year-old bay gelding b Kismet — Goltese, is reported from Vancouver, p.. c Batty Wrights B Pnente died at the mum place. Trainer Jack Adkin has hopes of getting Fountain Square ready lor racing at Latouia. The horse was in a rundown condition following his winter campaigning at Oakland and Juarez, and has beeu allowed to recuperate. The improved showing of Messenger Boy in recent raeea has Increased local interest in the Latouia Derby among Cincinnati people. Messenger Boy is a Cincinnati-owned and trained racer, and local pride is responsible for the hope that he may be able to win the big race. Raleigh Colston has arrived ::t I.atonia from beajfc-ville with his string of seven horses. K. J. Gilmore has also readied Latouia with two horses shipped from Baltimore. James Cass, with two horses and l.on Jones with live, are other arrivals at the Kenton County track from Louisville
