5,000 FOR THE KEENE YEARLINGS. New York. July 0. — In view of the contradictory concerning the purchase. Barry Payne fntatemeats Whitney made it known today that the price be paid for James R. Keenes nop of yearlings, tifty-scv-n in number, was 5,000. Trainer Janes Howe 1 as just returned from Kentucky, where he went to nee tie in. He says they are a line group. They will be removed to Rrookdale as MOB as tae weather cools a bit. Ike yearlings will be broken and tried out along with Mr. Whitneys own yearlings. The pick will go lo A. J. Joyner at Newmarket. Eng-laud. and the rest in all probability will be raced lu this country.
