NOTES OF THE TURF. Ayame and El Puente, the property of Early Wright, died recently at Vancouver, B. C. Ocean Pound came out of her recent race at La-tonia decidedly lame. She has tender feet. Four books are being operated at the Tulsa meet bag. The layers arc Al Valentine, John Rose, John Morris and Harry Anderson. Harlem Maid. Del Cruzador. Althorpe. Piping Rock. Altarec. Harvey 1. Patriot and other horses will be sold today in the Latouia paddock. Herman B. Duryoas Bugler finished third in the Prix Partisan of 8,000 francs at Tremblay in France Wedm sday. Jockey J. Reid had the mount. There are now only five horses on starter Cassidys schooling list at Latouia, including Ishkood.-ih, Arany, Chapnltepec Jack Beiger and Kittery. Tom Brown will arrange for the shipment from Latouia of horses that will engage in the three days meeting of the Greenbrier Jockey Club at White Sulphur Springs. Va., July 20, 21 and 22. It is reported that jockeys Vincent Powers and Willie Knapp, who went to Germany to ride for Herr von Weinberg and Richard Heiual. arc bo longer connected with those establishments. Their employers became dissatisfied with the manner in w bieh the boys rode. C. H. Davids has sold Arondack for 1911.sh00 to A. M Herknesa of Wymote. Pa., who owns Grand Vedette and other horses. Her new owner will race the Hastings mare at eastern bunt club meetings the coining fall and she will then be retired to the stud to be mated with Rock Sand. The deal for the purchase of the outstanding bonds of the City Park race track. New Orleans, has not yet heeti closed. A representative of the New Orleans real estate firm which made the successful bid conferred with Joseph Rhinock and his associates at Cincinnati yesterday, but negotiations were called off when it was announce! that tin- New Orleans people wen- prepared to put up only half as much money as was expected.
