NOTES OF THE TURF. Frank Wootton, the leading English jockey, will ride in India during the coming winter. The Prix Fernandez, run at Le Tremblay in France yesterday, was won by W. K. Vanderbilts Messidor III. J. Krause was recently fined 0 by the judge at Vancouver, B. C for practices inimical to the Interests of the turf. W. T. Anderson, owner of Helen Barbee and other well-known thoroughbreds, was in Chicago yesterday en route to Kentucky, whore ho has a considerable number of yearlings to take up. His string of thirteen horses in training is quartered at Denver and later on will be divided for racing at PimHco and Spokane.
