JUDITH PAGE was next to the rail while going down the backstretch and, when clear, closed up resolutely into a fast going second. ELECTROWAN ran forwardly and gamely throughout. PURSE ROSE ran well to the stretch and tired. LADY ELIZABETH showed a flash of early speed, but failed to stay. SANTHIA closed a gap. Scratched 97S712Gramcrcy, 109. ELECTRIC acted badly at the post, but began quickly and, going to the front at once, was closely pressed all the way, but gamely held his advantage to the end. EVELINA forced the pace and tired a trifle in the stretch drive, but came again at the end. GOMUL ran well and hung on resolutely. The others were, outrun all the way. BILL MAYHAM set the early pace, but tired in the final strides of a good race. KOOTENAI: ran in close pursuit of the leader from the start, but tired at the end. THE FAD began poorly and made up ground, but tired badly at the finish. ROYAL STONE and GARTER LIGHT showed speed. DELENA set the early pace and, after being passed, took the lead again while rounding the last turn and held TIFLIS safe at the end. TIFLIS ran close to the rail and, saving ground on the turns, outgamed ZAHRA in the final drive. ZAHRA ran well, but went wide on the last turn and bored over to the rail in the final sixteenth. EDNA STEWART ran a good race and finished fast. STONEMAN showed speed in pacemaking, but quit. PEDRO, off badly, was rushed up too quickly and tired.
