MEXICO CITY TO HAVE MEETING. Louisville, Ivy., September 1. W. G. Yanke has returned from his trip to Mexico City. He says racing will begin there Sunday, October 22, and continue until Sunday, November 2G. The meeting will coyer seventeen racing days and will be carried on three or four days each week, including Sundays, Saturdays and all holidays. Fifty thousand dollars In gold will be hung up for purses and stakes at this meeting, in addition to 12,500 in gold given by the Mexican government for the Derby for three-year-olds foaled and owned in Mexico. The conclusion of this meeting will give the horsemen abundance of time, ending as It does on November 20. to reach Juarez, where winter racing will begin on Thanksgiving Day, November 30.
